Secluded and peaceful, with scenic views of Haleakala, Ho'okipa Hale cottage is set on 2 gated acres of landscaped garden with banana trees and tropical flowers. Our beautiful 2-bedroom island-style cottage is immaculately clean and well maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room. All furnishings, floors, shades and fixtures have been replaced with new first quality island style finishes. It has a great lanai deck with gas BBQ, outdoor dining and great sunset views! Affordable luxury from $120/night.
For those of us who come to unwind without unplugging altogether, we have just added High Speed Internet via CAT5 broadband connection and wireless modem, no fee, no problem.
The cottage has private laundry facilities, and free use of beach chairs, beach umbrella, coolers and boogie boards.
Ho’okipa Hale (which means 'hospitality house' in Hawaiian) is only 20 minutes from Kahului Airport, minutes away from great beaches - windsurfing and surfing at world-famous Ho’okipa beach park, swimming and boogie-boarding at beautiful Baldwin beach. An excellent location from which to take the winding road to Hana, for sunset or sunrise trips to Haleakala crater, and within 30 minutes of great snorkeling and diving spots on the south side of the Island. There is a large grocery store with ATM and restaurants in Haiku town centre and many more restaurants in neighboring Paia & Makawao.

Rates: $120/night (up to 2 people) $80 cleaning fee $10/night (per additional person) Christmas/New Year: $150/night for up to 4 people 7 night min stay (5 or 6 nights sometimes available) We accept credit cards, checks, bank wire transfers, money orders. 50% of the total rental amount reserves the cottage, the balance is due 60 days before arrival. All rates are subject to 11.41% state & hotel tax.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your reservation more than 60 days prior to your arrival date, a full refund will be given minus a cancellation fee amounting to 10% of the total booking ($50 minimum). If you cancel your reservation less than 60 days before your arrival date, the total rental amount will be refunded for the dates we can re-rent the cottage (minus the 10% cancellation fee). If you cancel your reservation during your stay we will only give a refund if we are able to re-rent the cottage for the remaining time, minus the 10% cancellation fee.

Take route 36 toward Hana. You will drive through Paia (colorful small town) and on past Mamas Fish House (nice restaurant) and Hookipa Beach to a well-marked turn-off on the right to Haiku. Take this turn-off (Kokomo) up and around some bends, past the Baldwin Mansion, to Kauhikoa Road, go left (just after three small blue houses). Take Kauhikoa about one mile past Haiku Rd. to the properties driveway on right: 1350 Kauhikoa Road.
